Oshea Wilder was a New York land speculator who founded Singapore on the shores of Lake Michigan in 1836. Wilder set out to build a port town that could rival Chicago and Milwaukee. At its peak Singapore was a busy lumbering town with three mills, two hotels, and the renowned "Wild-Cat" Bank. However, by 1875 the supply of lumber was exhausted, and the mills closed. Singapore was deserted and was quickly swallowed up by the dunes because of the deforestation of the lakeshore. Over 150 years later, Singapore has become a famous Michigan ghost town.
    Wildr Hat Co. is inspired by the town's rich history—its rise, struggles, and eventual burial beneath the sand dunes—Wildr was founded with a commitment to quality and resilience. After years of frustration with cheap, uninspired merchandise that failed to represent our vision, Wildr was started to build a brand that would stand the test of time. We set out to craft products that people would genuinely want to wear—hats that are not just an afterthought, but a statement of quality, designed with care and precision. Just as Singapore left its mark on Michigan's history,  Wildr Hat Co. aims to leave a lasting impression in the world of fashion and branding.
